VPM vs RPM vs Hz in Massage Devices

VPM, RPM, and Hz can all describe repetition rates, but they are not always interchangeable in marketing because they may refer to different moving components.

VPM

VPM means vibrations per minute. Dividing a true vibration-per-minute figure by 60 converts it to cycles per second.

RPM

RPM means revolutions per minute. If one revolution produces one movement cycle, RPM and cycles per minute may match; mechanical linkages can complicate that assumption.

Hz

Hertz means cycles per second. 6,000 true cycles per minute equals 100 Hz; 10,000 equals about 166.7 Hz.

Why marketing numbers need context

A larger number does not establish greater amplitude, force, comfort, or effectiveness.
